When you bring me a quilt you would like me to finish, I just have a few suggestions of what I would like to have done first. It is always a giant plus to have ironed your project and have it squared when having me quilt your masterpiece. There is no need to baste the quilt, batting and backing together. I load them all on my machine separately.
It is necessary for your backing and batting to be at least 4 inches larger than the quilt on each side. Even if you sew scraps on the edges, that is fine and they can be removed when it’s finished.
If you don’t have your own batting, I have 8 different types at reasonable prices. See pricing information above.
I have a lot of colors of Glide thread. Picking a thread color depends completely on your preference. Some prefer a thread color that blends into the quilt top such as neutral colors. Some prefer a thread color that pops or stands out such as a neon color. Take a look at your quilt top and decide what your style is. I can always help you choose. See pricing information for colors available.
If you would like the binding to be put on, please use 2 1/4 inch strips or just provide yardage of an appropriate size.
